Tuesday, August 17th, 2010Looney Tunes
Thursday, August 12th, 2010John McWhorter’s call to “Free the Black Looney Tunes!” reminds me of a short film my college sketch group, The Wicked Wicked Hammerkatz, shot around seven or more years ago. I hadn’t watched it in a long time—until today. I think the comedy still holds up.
Eliza Skinner Loves Tyler Perry
Wednesday, August 11th, 2010Our great friend Eliza Skinner has starred in countless Greg and Lou sketches. She was the neglected adulteress in “She Got Lonely,” the materialistic, never-satisfied mother in “Christmas Morning,” and not one, but two of the biggest Yankees fans to ever have their memories of the old stadium rejected by the YES Network. Oh yeah! And she even had a run-in with the MILF Solicitors.
We thought that we had fulfilled all of Eliza’s acting wishes, but it turns out she has a wish that only one special black tranny can make come true:

Long Day On The Job
Thursday, July 1st, 2010Interview with Greg and Lou in Traverse City, Michigan
Thursday, June 3rd, 2010Back in February of 2010, Greg, AJ, and I performed in Michael Moore’s and Jeff Garlin’s first annual Traverse City Comedy Arts Festival. It was an amazing experience. We performed for over an hour in front of a packed audience and took home an award for our video sketch “Wolverine’s Claw’s Suck.”
So what better way to look back on that great weekend than to watch yourself (myself, in this case) in a 20-or-so minute interview with the awesome Beth Milligan for the UpNorth Media Center.*
In the video you might notice that AJ’s hair has been recently shorn, Greg’s ready to make snowballs (see winter gloves), and I’m looking more mature (this went down a week before my 28th birthday).
There are a few times during the interview when we’re giving our thoughts on comedy that I think we actually sound successful. You know, three successful comedians talking about how all their hard work paid off, and now they’re giving advice to the up-and-comers…
There are also moments where I try to make it clear that we are NOT successful. Let me be clear: We are NOT successful comedians.
But could you imagine how cool it would be if we were?
…I imagine it all the time…
Hey, I’m just thankful that we didn’t come off as complete douchebags in the interview.**

* Sorry. Embedding was not an option. And I recommend you check out the UpNorth Median Center interview with Sean Conroy. Not only is Sean a funny and intelligent comedian, but when he talks about comedy I can’t help but feel a greater respect for the art form I’ve been trying to master (or just be pretty good at) for almost 10 years—if not my whole life.
** …right?
